The Art Film Fest 2026

The National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art (GNAMC) of Rome, together with Inside Art — a publishing house that has been a key player in the art and culture scene for over twenty years — and Fondazione Patrimonio Italia, proudly presents the third edition of The Art Film Fest (TAFF).

The project was conceived by Guido Talarico, publisher and editor-in-chief of Inside Art, and Renata Cristina Mazzantini, director of the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, and is dedicated to exploring and promoting the relationship between cinema and contemporary art.

Following the success of the previous editions, which drew significant attention from both the public and industry professionals, TAFF is now confirmed as a major event in the Italian cultural landscape. In 2024 top prize went to "Galleria Continua: The Ability to Dream", directed by Andrea Calderone and produced by Sky Arte and TIWI, which was screened during the awards ceremony; in 2025 top prize went to Wind's Heritage directed by Nasim Soheili.

The new edition will take place on September 21, 2026, in the evocative Sala delle Colonne of the Roman Museum. There, a curated selection of documentaries — chosen by Inside Art’s internal committee — will be screened, each exploring art in its many forms: painting, sculpture, performance, video art, and other contemporary languages.

During the evening, the winners of the competition will be announced and awarded. The highlight of the event will be the full screening of the winning documentary, which will receive special attention in recognition of its artistic and narrative excellence.
