The Address is proud to announce the opening of Ipotesi sulla soglia, a solo-exhibition by Italian artist Giorgio Maria Crescentini, curated by Davide Paoletti.

Ipotesi sulla soglia marks the first solo exhibition with The Address and is part of the project room program that focuses on the practice of emerging Italian artists.
Giorgio Maria Crescentini studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Venice. In 2025 he co-founded Deposito2235, a studio and independent space dedicated to artistic experimentation and research. His practice is rooted in a careful observation of images and of what everyday reality offers to the gaze. Through an essential aesthetic and a process of formal reduction, he reworks these impressions into sculptures and installations that inhabit a suspended dimension where presence and absence, light and matter coexist in balance. His works unfold in dialogue with the surrounding space and with the viewer’s movement, gradually revealing themselves and making perception an integral part of the work. He lives and works in Venice.
