This exhibition stems from the observation of how the language of pop is necessarily still alive and present. it is pop each work that speaks the language of the media or, to say it better, of the road and this common thread that binds art and life tautologically comes to its own effectiveness thanks to the language it uses. But this exhibition comes mainly from a meeting, the one between Elio Fiorucci and Ludmilla Radchenko. A fashion guru, such as Fiorucci, who was a Warhol’s friend and not by chance saw stepping in the shop located in Galleria Passarella, Milan, LA2 and Haring, who has embraced the concept of mass production, accessibility of the product, the importance of its aesthetic value that makes it object of desire, regardless of a no more necessary high cost, interacts with a young talent in the field of contemporary art. The common language is irony, the ground of confrontation life, spent smoothly and brilliantly. Great communicator and innovator, Fiorucci’s name is linked to some fashion innovations even today in our costume: a cheerful and vibrant color, bubble pink, fluo colours, in his works the neon light of the Big Apple, wedges, cowboy hats, monokinis and even those torn jeans and push-ups, common mark of every generation and latitude. So Ludmilla Radchenko, who got Italy and in some way is linked to the showbiz and the media industry, follows exactly the opposite path of the famous "fifteen minutes of fame" of Warhol's axiom. Once part of that world, she leaves it for painting, her first love, she looks at and sketches it with a spontaneous irony, the same one that Fiorucci gives his creations, using all the consumerism stylemes and the iconic power of some products and characters. The European origin inevitably drives her to a painting style that, starting from pop images, analyzes from a social, therefore realistic, viewpoint economic and social aspects of the contemporary world. So It is about two outsiders, constantly balanced between art and fashion, two pop-lovers and above all two pop-makers: two generations, two worlds, but the same boundless energy.
