As part of the annual'Open Studios' at the Villa Romana in Florence, Dingum is pleased to present a weekend of painting and performance in the garden. Works by Will Benedict, Magni Borgehed, Alistair Frost, Matthew Lutz-Kinoy and Hannes Schmidt will be presented en plein air. Dennis Oliver Schroer will execute paintings by Charles Mayton based on instructions via video chat. Sophie Reinhold and Linda Spjut will turn the neo-classical villa inside out, upside down and round 'n' round in 'Stress of Sensation'; a two-way peepshow, a material clash between painting and sound. A collective dinner will paint the final picture of the weekend with ceramics by Matthew Lutz-Kinoy and Natsuko Uchino, food by Yorgos Sapountzis and garments by Nhu Duong.
