Daata Editions e Zuecca Projects presentano i nuovi lavori di Hannah Quinlan & Rosie Hastings.

Coinciding with the Venice Architecture Biennale 2016, Daata Editions and Zuecca Projects will present new work by Hannah Quinlan & Rosie Hastings, whose ongoing multidisciplinary art project and event series ‘@Gaybar’ documents and recreates historic gay bar spaces.

In Venice, the duo will stage a takeover and rematerialise a fantasy gay bar at the Bauer Hotel’s BBAR from the 24 May – 24 August 2016, also presenting six new video works commissioned by innovative online platform Daata Editions. The new series reveals the complex & varied visual language employed by these spaces in their self-representation as gay, using footage taken of bars when they are empty using a discrete go-pro camera, as well as material from the UK Gay Bar directory (a moving image archive of UK gay bars). These video editions will be available for sale from $100 on the 24 May 2016, online at www.daata-editions.com Work from Daata Editions Season Two will also be streamed onto all the hotel room TVs via a special channel.
