Cortesi Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition UGO MULAS – PIETRO CONSAGRA – ARNALDO POMODORO, the third chapter of a collaborative project between the gallery and the curator Alberto Salvadori, dedicated to exploring key dialogues within twentieth-century Italian art.

The exhibition, supported by the Archivio Ugo Mulas, focuses on the work of photographer Ugo Mulas (1928–1973), one of the most important figures in postwar Italian photography. Known for his close engagement with the artistic milieu of his time, Mulas documented the protagonists of the international avant-garde with a unique sensitivity, capturing not only their works but also the creative processes and personal relationships behind them.

The photographs on view portray sculptors Pietro Consagra and Arnaldo Pomodoro, offering an intimate look at their artistic personalities during the 1960s, a decade marked by intense experimentation and exchange.

Bringing together photographs by Mulas alongside a selection of works by Consagra and Pomodoro, the exhibition offers a concentrated glimpse into a creative dialogue shaped by friendship, shared ideas, and the vibrant artistic context of the 1960s, when life and art were often inseparable.
