La Fondazione Nicola Del Roscio presenta da sabato 30 ottobre 2021 a sabato 26 febbraio 2022, presso gli spazi di via Crispi 18, la personale dell’artista inglese Tacita Dean Sigh, Sigh, Sigh.
La mostra riunisce una serie di lavori dediicati a Cy Twombly (1928–2011), la maggior parte dei quali mai esposti prima in Italia.
BIOGRAFIA
Tacita Dean
Tacita Dean è nata a Canterbury in Inghilterra nel 1965, vive e lavora tra Berlino e Los Angeles, dove è stata Artist in Residence presso il Getty Research Institute (2014-2015).
Le mostre personali recenti includono: Kunstmuseum Basel, Svizzera (2021); Marian Goodman Gallery, New York (2021); Frith Street Gallery, Londra (2021); EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art, Finlandia (2020); Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen, Danimarca (2019); Serralves Museum, Porto, Portogallo (2019) e Kunsthaus Bregenz, Austria (2018). Nel 2018, Tacita Dean è stata protagonista di tre mostre personali presentate in contemporanea a Londra, intitolate LANDSCAPE, PORTRAIT, STILL LIFE rispettivamente presso The Royal Academy of Arts, The National Gallery e la National Portrait Gallery. Nel 2011, she made FILM, as part of the Unilever Series at Tate Modern, which marked the beginning of her campaign to protect and preserve photochemical film (www.savefilm.org). In October 2021, a new ballet based on Dante’s Divine Comedy entitled The Dante Project will premiere at the Royal Opera House in London with Royal Ballet’s resident choreographer Wayne McGregor, conductor-composer Thomas Adès and with sets and costumes designed by Dean.
