Il progetto di mostra nasce dalla collaborazione tra Nero Gallery e HB production.

Due realtà in sinergia tra loro:
Nero Gallery è una piccola e innovativa galleria d’arte, situata al Pigneto, che si occupa di Lowbrow e Pop surrealism. Da ormai tre anni promuove giovani artisti italiani e si impegna a portare in Italia, anche, artisti stranieri noti nel panorama internazionale.

Hb Production è uno studio di grafica e comunicazione formato da un team giovane con grandi capacita’ esecutive, fantasia ed idee all’avanguardia.
La mission principale è la gestione ed il rinnovo dell’immagine del cliente a 360°, attraverso l’utilizzo di soluzioni stilistiche ad alto profilo e la realizzazione di prodotti in costante evoluzione con l’ambiente circostante.

Da questa unione nasce “The Traveler”, mostra personale di Phil Jarvis.

Phil Jarvis è un artista americano di Saint Louise. Il suo lavoro artistico spazia dal lettering ai murales senza tralasciare l’arte pittorica che va dai dipinti ai disegni con grafite. Le sue creazioni riprendono la poetica surrealista e geometrica con un uso del colore sapiente e di forte impatto. Si lascia trasportare dal segno grafico, sua matrice di riferimento, portandolo verso dimensioni astratte contemporanee e nuove.

In loco si stamperà una serie limitata di Serigrafie con un’immagine inedita creata appositamente dall’artista per l’evento, l’artista sarà presente e firmerà le serigrafie. L’evento sarà accompagnato da un Djset .

Il VERNISSAGE “The Traveler” con Live Act di Luca Longobardi

Ci sarà un live painting che Phil eseguirà in collaborazione con Luca Longobardi che si occuperà di dare voce con la sua musica all’opera su tela di Phil, eseguendo un Live Act.
La perfomance è un’improvvisazione elettroacustica basata su uno schema sonoro generato da una struttura 3D, disegnata con Iannix, che ricalca la bozza del disegno di Phil Jarvis.

Phil Jarvis espone per la prima volta in Europa dopo il suo successo negli Usa. Ormai conosciuto in Italia per i suoi numerosi lavori su vetrofania che possiamo ammirare in molti dei più noti studi di tattooer.
La mostra ha come tema il viaggiatore rappresentando a pieno il percorso artistico e personale di Phil. Il viaggio è a lui molto caro e attraverso le sue opere lo condivide per la prima volta con il pubblico italiano. Schizzi di città, atmosfere oniriche e personaggi stravaganti rappresentano i suoi lavori. Sono piccole narrazioni del suo errare di città in città e di nazione in nazione. Come un Ulisse contemporaneo fa conoscere e narra i sui sconvolgenti episodi, alcune volte buffi e alcune volte enigmatici.
Spirito poliedrico e libero, cerca in un ogni suo lavoro di trasmettere il suo animo soul ed eccentrico.
Nella mostra potremmo trovare più di dieci schizzi e alcune tele, molti personaggi e paesaggi sono la narrazione del suo passato viaggio in Italia.

Now known in Italy for his window stickers that we can admire in many of the most famous tattooer studios. The theme of the exhibition is the traveler representing Phil's artistic and personal career. The journey is very dear to him and through his works he shares it for the first time with the Italian audience. City sketches, dreamlike atmospheres and extravagant characters represent its work. They are small narrations of his wander from town to town and from nation to nation. Like a contemporary Ulysses, he makes known and tells about his upsetting episodes, sometimes funny and sometimes enigmatic. A multifaceted and free spirit, he seeks in every work to convey his soul and eccentric spirit. In the exhibition you will find more than ten sketches and some canvases, many characters and landscapes are the narration of his past trip to Italy.
