Peinture Française
Comunicato stampa
Romero Paprocki is pleased to present Peinture Française, a group exhibition curated by Marie Maertens, featuring Maria Adjovi, Jules de Balincourt, Anastasia Bay, Nathan Bertet, Guillaume Bresson, Antoine Carbonne, Kaï-Chun Chang, Claudio Coltorti, Julie Curtiss, Blake Daniels, Mathilde Denize, Pauline Guerrier, Charles Hascoët, Camille Henrot, Louis Jacquot, Xie Lei, Maude Maris, Eva Nielsen, Mario Picardo, Jessy Razafimandimby, Lou Ros, Christine Safa, Sequoia Scavullo, Apolonia Sokol, Clio Sze To, Philipp Timischl and Sophie Varin.
Bringing together a generation of artists moving freely between abstraction and figuration, the exhibition is conceived as a new form of utopia, exploring painting through an intimate approach to textures, colours and blurred forms while engaging with the concerns of the present.
Set in Milan, a city deeply connected to the history of painting, from Leonardo da Vinci’s sfumato to Divisionism, Symbolism and Futurism, Peinture Française celebrates the absolute freedom of painting beyond trends and movements.
