Letizia Battaglia. Senza Fine is a constellation of works by Letizia Battaglia (Palermo, 1935 - 2022) that recall the main themes of her career, offering a uni-fied vision of a career spanning almost five decades.
A tribute to Letizia Battaglia, 'Senza Fine' [Endless] showcases how Battaglia broke new ground in a design spanning multiple spaces. A wide array of photos narrates the many facets of her photography in timeless, non-chronological and athematic order.
Letizia Battaglia's best-known images immortalize one of the bloodiest, most poetic, poignant and dramatic periods in Sicilian history. The exhibition was conceived to share the whole universe of Battaglia's photographs outside her homeland too, stops on journeys fundamental to a deeper understanding of her overall work and thought. Battaglia's photography, news reporting, and private life were all part of the same path, made possible by the Palermo-born photographer's extraordinary sensitivity and humanity.
