Comunicato stampa

The Art Forum Gallery presents again , after a year , the work of two artists of Florence : Federica Gonnelli and Virginia Panichi .
This second edition aims to be a deepening of their recent artistic research , anticipated by the exhibition of 2013 " Think pink " by A. Soldini .
Like most contemporary artists also Gonnelli and Panichi take to model their
status of women , realize their works running .
They are the protagonists of their works outright : authors , artists , models, photographers , painters , sculptors , designers .

Federica Panichi Gonnelli and Virginia are both born in Florence and in the same year , 1981 .
Florence is the city of fashion and 80s fashion was elected to the art form ( Julian Schnabel posed for Armani )
it was inevitable that this atmosphere did not affect the formation of the two artists .
The Gonnelli reminds us that as a child grew " between fabrics, cardboard boxes , colored threads , mannequins, cards , clothes , pencils, crutches and whatever else helps in the realization of a dress ," while the Panichi has a past as a stylist , costume and set designer .

The title of the exhibition , the body suit , it shows the affinity and the poetics of Gonnelli and Panichi .
Both investigate the relationship between content - container , inner - outer , bare- dress with very different techniques .
Virginia Panichi through photography, portrays the figures in poses improbable but always adorned like actresses were unaware of a theatrical performance in which the artist is also the designer .
The Gonnelli prefers the use of natural elements ( clay, glass , mirror ) sometimes represented only other integral parts of the work .
The container of these elements is almost always a layer of organza, often printed , which, with its transparency leads us to search for content by now hazy .
