Quali sono le rovine dell'era digitale – un’era in cui le informazioni possono teoricamente essere copiate all’infinito, senza perdite, e rimanere sempre disponibili e ripristinabili in qualsiasi momento? In questa era di prodotti indistruttibili e perfettamente riproducibili, esiste ancora qualcosa definibile come scarto, rifiuto? E che aspetto ha?
I detriti della nostra epoca spaziano da hard disk e circuiti stampati usati, i cui componenti filtrano lentamente nelle falde acquifere, a innumerevoli frammenti di informazioni: messaggi di spam o raccolta di user informations, che si irradiano sotto forma di dati inviati sopra e sotto la superficie terrestre con grande dispendio di energia.
La mostra HEAP OF RUBBLE BUBBLE intende creare uno spazio fittizio che raccolga varie opere-detriti la cui origine non può essere ricondotta a un luogo o un tempo specifico. Che aspetto hanno questi rifiuti che lasciamo dietro di noi? Che cosa succede quando si mescolano con i resti lasciati dalla storia, e riappaiono di volta in volta in un ipotetico presente?

ENGLISH:
What are the ruins of the digital age in which information can supposedly be copied without loss, is infinitely retrievable and can be restored at any time? In the age of the indestructible and flawlessly reproducible products, is there anything like rubble at all? what does it look like?
The debris of our age ranges from used hard disks and circuit boards whose components slowly seep into the groundwater to countless pieces of information in the form of data that are sent around above and below the earth's surface as spam messages or collected user informations with considerable energy expenditure.
The exhibition HEAP OF RUBBLE BUBBLE is intended to create a fictitious space that gathers various artifact-like debris whose origin cannot be traced back to a specific place or time. What do the debris we leave behind look like and what happens to it when it mixes with the remaining debris of history and reappears from time to time in a supposed present?

CURRENT è una piattaforma creata da artisti e curatori. Ha base in uno spazio indipendente a Milano dove sperimentare ed esporre le forme contemporanee di creazione, aperto alla collaborazione con altri progetti italiani e internazionali.
CURRENT is a platform started by artists and curators. It is based in an independent space in Milan, a place for experimentation and exhibition of contemporary forms of creation and is open to collaborations with other Italian and international artistic projects.
