L'ultimo lavoro di Giovanni Morbin “La quarta settimana”, vincitore della 47° edizione del Premo Suzzara:
Casamatta, verra' presentato a Torino in occasione di Artissima 18.
La quarta settimana
Oggigiorno un mese ha sei settimane, nessuno lo sa?
Lo sanno purtroppo coloro che nemmeno conoscono il numero cinque.
Un fornaio e i suoi pani, gli stessi che vende ogni giorno.
Quel giorno quei pani avranno la forma di teste, di teste viste di fronte e la faccia sarà la
mia faccia.
Le ceste sul muro che guarda l’ingresso ricolme di pane, ricolme di teste che stanno
adagiate fino a quando qualcuno le coglie e le mangia…quel giorno, quel pane, nell’insolita
forma si cede ma senza denaro in ritorno.
La spesa leggera di soldi non spesi poi ci impone uno scomodo gesto che è quello che
addenta una faccia, che è quello che solleva la tasca.

Grazie alla collaborazione con un fornaio torinese, l'artista realizzera' una partita di pane con la forma
della sua faccia che sara' distribuita gratuitamente al pubblico durante Artissima 18 a condizione che la
faccia dell’artista venga poi mangiata nelle case di ciascun ricevente. La conferenza stampa e' prevista
per venerdi 4 novembre presso il panificio La Rocca che durante l'orario di apertura. Presso lo stand
Artericambi, durante i giorni della fiera' sara' esposta l'installazione dell'artista. La distribuzione del pane
continuera' sabato 5 novembre in occasione della notte bianca a partire dalle ore 21.30 sempre presso il
medesimo panificio.

Giovanni Morbin | La quarta settimana
"La quarta settimana", the most recent work by Giovanni Morbin, the winner of the 47th edition of the
Suzzara Prize, Casamatta, will be shown in Turin during Artissima 18.
La quarta settimana (The fourth week)
Nowadays a month has six weeks, doesn't anyone know?
Sadly, those who do not even know the number five know this.
A baker and the bread rolls that he sells every day.
One day the bread rolls will have the shape of heads, of heads seen from the front, and the
face will be my face.
The baskets along the wall facing the entrance are full of bread, full of heads that are laid
out until someone picks them up and eats them... on that day, that unusually-formed bread
will give itself up, but without an exchange of money.
The light expense of unpaid money imposes an uncomfortable gesture on us, that of biting a
face, that of lightening our pockets.

Thanks to the efforts of a baker from Turin, the artist will make a batch of bread in the form of his face,
and this will be distributed to the public,on the condition that the artist's face will be eaten in the home of
each recipient. The press conference will be held on Friday 4 November in the La Rocca bakery during the
opening hours. In Artericambi's booth during the run of the fair will be shown an installation by the artist.
The distribution of bread will continue through Saturday 5 November on the occasion of the all-night
opening of the same bakery, starting at 9.30 p.m.
