Emerging Talents è un progetto espositivo che promuove autori emergenti i cui progetti fotografici hanno ricevuto importanti riconoscimenti a livello internazionale e non sono ancora mai stati esposti in Italia.
Le prime due edizioni si sono svolte durante le XIII e IV edizioni di FOTOGRAFIA, Festival Internazionale di Fotografia di Roma del 2014 e 2015.
In occasione di Emerging Talents sono state organizzate giornate di incontro e letture portfolio con Jim Casper (direttore ed editore di LensCulture) e Audrey Turpin (membro di Circulations, Festival de la jeune photographie européenne).
Emerging Talents è ideato e curato da Sarah Carlet e Arianna Catania.

Emerging Talents is an exhibition project, which promotes those emerging photographers awarded by important international prizes and their works have not yet ever been exhibited in Italy.
The two last editions were held during FotoGrafia - Rome’s International Photo Festival in 2014 and 2015.
On the occasion of the Emerging Talents, it was been organized meeting days and portfolio reviews with Jim Casper (editor and publisher of LensCulture) and Audrey Turpin (member of Circulations, Festival de la jeune photographie européenne).
Emerging Talents is a project ideated and curated by Sarah Carlet and Arianna Catania.

Jing Huang

In Cina la poesia si apprende fin da piccoli. E non ha come scopo l'acquisizione di nozioni, ma piuttosto è insegnata per comprendere i sentimenti umani e le sfumature segrete della natura.
È proprio questo che ha influenzato il modo di vedere e di pensare di Jing Huang, che non si è fermato all'astrazione e alla poesia per cercare il suo linguaggio, ma si è soprattutto lasciato incantare dai delicati paesaggi della pittura classica cinese. Ha asciugato la fotografia di quei tratti realistici che non appartengono all'immaginazione, creando segni che vivono fuori dal tempo: dettagli che attingono da una natura perfetta e che contemporaneamente, riescono a raccontare le insicurezze e l'isolamento della città.
Una fotografia che scorre a fianco della vita per riportarne il suo profumo e le sue zone d'ombra, la sua malinconia e i suoi segreti.
Una fotografia che, lontana dall'essere solo uno strumento per esprimersi, diventa una vera e propria compagna di viaggio.

In China, poetry is learnt from an early age. It doesn't have the aim of acquiring rudiments, but has the purpose of understanding human feelings and the secret hints of nature.
This is what has influenced the sight and thoughts of Jing Huang, who hasn't only looked for abstraction in his style, but he lets himself be enchanted by the delicate landscapes of classical Chinese painting. His photography is dried of realistic features which do not belong to imagination. He creates timeless signs, inspired by a flawless nature that also tells the uncertainty and isolation of the city.
A photography that scrolls by the side of life remembering its smell and shadows, its melancholy and secrets. A photography which, far from being only a means of expression, becomes a true traveling companion.

BIO
Jing Huang (1987) è nato a Guangzhou, in Cina e attualmente vive a Shenzhen. Si è diplomato nel 2010 all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Guangzhou.
Ha vinto il Foam Talent 2014, il Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award 2011 e il suo lavoro è stato presentato ad Arles.
Ha esposto il suo lavoro al Łódź Fotofestival 2012, alla Galleria Leica Wetzlar e ha tenuto una mostra personale nella sala dell'aeroporto internazionale di Hong Kong, nel 2011.
Ha all'attivo tre libri fotografici self-published: Recall, Pure of Sight, Classmate.

Jing Huang (1987) was born in Guangzhou, China and he currently lives in Shenzhen. He graduated in 2010 from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
He awarded the Foam Talent 2014, Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award 2011 and his work has been presented in Arles.
He exhibited his work in Łódź Fotofestival 2012, in Leica Gallery Wetzlar and he held a photography solo exhibition in the hall of Hong Kong International Airport (2011).
He self-published the photo books: Recall, Pure of Sight, Classmate.
