ELDI VEIZAJ, a holistic vision of art.
L’Arietelab is today the protagonist of another significant achievement, this exhibition dedicated to the work of Eldi Veizaj, recently entered into the spin-off of L’Ariete artecontemporanea. Born in Albania, in Fier, Eldi began a survey on the visible with some portraits of old men, performed in the retirement home of the same city. On those cards each face emerged as if in a mixture of years and facts, a drawing of things lived, embodied in furrows etched into the skin, earth plowed by the work of life. They were powerful lines and grasped the physiognomy of the faces and the duration of their time, in a practice as a good draftsman that made intuit both the material and psychic stratigraphy underneath the graphite particles and that among other things it ceased to suffer, but not to have suffered. A coherence of look, once again underground, binds those sheets to the large paintings present in this exhibition. As the crannies of wrinkles are shaped in the minutes months years and contain the trends of life, all, of those who have them, so each image on these canvases and watercolor papers contains others, and others again, in an amniotic liquid of unity and commingling, fluids that are configured and dilute, coagulate and flow, mate and separate, overlap and fade away. They are tides of gestations, of sperm and biological ectoplasms, of procreation, of fertility and disparity. And to be born are Kingdoms of multiple Worlds, which contain others, and others again, in a visionary cellular germination that dissolves into a slight dance of colored water veils. They are systems of ecological links, imaginative ideas naturally holistic, so the whole is the sum of the parts and each part contains the memory of the whole, a system of relationships without which life cannot be. A vision of the world that suggests a need to be of our relationship with the world, so art is the travelling companion of the philosophical and scientific research that today from Roberto Marchesini to Stefano Mancuso to Carlo Ventura opens new scenarios of analysis of reality and of the planet Earth.
