Ncontemporary Milan
Ncontemporary is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Davide Monaldi (Italy, 1983), entitled Selvatico, with a text written by Massimo Giorgetti. The exhibition includes a new series of ceramic sculptures in which the artist invites the viewer in his intimate, ironic and often provocative scenarios.
Monaldi focuses his attention on the creation of a language able to play with daily life and its reassuring habits, inevitably touched by little inconveniences. Moved by a careful observation of the reality, he builds micro-narratives and challenges the real world, with a funny and biting humour. Common objects and ordinary images are translated into dreamy and imaginary sculptures, oscillating between exasperation and the need of melancholy, play and comfort.

Ncontemporary is pleased to present L'erba del vicino, a site-specific project by Chiara Baima Poma (Italy, 1990) conceived specifically for the gallery's project room in Milan.
The large three-meter panel, articulated like an irregular puzzle of fragments that seem to emerge from an ancient fresco, combines technical research, social reflection, and a profound autobiographical investigation. The work has its roots in the artist's family stories, particularly in her grandmother's stories about relatives who emigrated to the United States. The piece is also intertwined with personal experiences gained across Europe and Africa, between Spain and Senegal where Baima Poma spent long periods residing. At the heart of the work lies the complexity of contemporary multiculturalism.
