Il nero, la sua luce, impressione visiva che raggiunge l’ occhio e assorbe la luce degli altri colori, pigmento primario, colore non-colore che racchiude in sé plurime suggestioni e richiama alla mente molteplici riferimenti. Black, its light, visual impression reaching the eye and absorbing the light of other colors, primary pigment, non-colored color embodying many suggestions and reminding many references. Black, being more than a color, is an experience made of incisiveness, deepness and mystery. The experience becomes celebration. Art, fashion, design and music join to celebrate an idea, a concept, the black. This is “Black celebration”, exhibition event, ideated and curated by Nunzia Garoffolo and produced by Altaroma which will be held on 15th July 2014 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm in Rome at the Montoro 12 Art Gallery, in via di Montoro 12, street which will be entirely enlivened by fashion as experience (including and going beyond black, featuring in the collateral event “Beyond black, fashion as experience”, also ideated and curated by Nunzia Garoffolo which will be held during the same day at the same time at the factory Menexa, the bride atelier La Maison Blanche of Davide Raciti and the il lutist Michel Eggiman who will showcase the creativity by Officine 904, the accessories and jewelry by Myriam B., the precious masterpieces by Anna Porcu who reinterprets and modernizes a jewel, the cameo, atmospheres which will be emphasized by the olfactive installations by Meo Fusciuni, romantic and genius aromatarius, apothecary, researcher of olfactive memory who embodies liquid emotions in a bottle, that tells of his journeys, uniqueness of experiences and universality of feelings). A suggestive showcase of fashion, high fashion and demi-couture, clothing, accessories and jewelry talking about elegance, uniqueness and sartorialism made in Italy, created by celebrated couturier and renowned creatives. The creations made in black by Renato Balestra, Sarli, Galitzine, Angelos Bratis, Liborio Capizzi, Sylvio Giardina, Maurizio Pecoraro, Myriam B., Arnoldo Battois, Vernissage Project, Anna Porcu, Lucia Odescalchi, Frank Lo, Mario Salvucci and Olga Pong will dialogue with the art by Marco Bertolini, bright photographer who caught the black in its refined essential nature, successfully evoking pictorial suggestions where it shines the aesthetics of simplicity. The artistic references on black also feature in “Skull”, a publishing project, a black book, made exclusively for the event by the fashion designer Sylvio Giardina representing the ideal interaction between content and container, being inspired by the concept of cranial box and exploring the reflex as reiterated reproduction of reality. The little dynamic book, recomposing, once it is quickly leafed through, the sequence of video-frames depicting the path of a beam of light, is placed into a box having mirroring walls, metaphor of mind’s ability to catch every kind of expression and phenomenon, embody and reflect again them elsewhere. Black, black and again black. It’s austere, incisive and catchy, the black becomes a design work or rather and olfactive design work, Bogue the Mask, a black ceramic mask subverting the concept of mask to protect oneself from bacteria and becoming a scents diffuser, made by Antonio Gardoni, smashing architect and creator of artistic perfumery brand Bogue Profumo, making fragrances that are 100% natural and free from chemical fixers. This interlude on black will be emphasized by a site-specific installation ideated by the talented milliner Olga Pong, the music by Andy Fluon, artist and founder of celebrated band Bluvertigo and artistic collective Fluon, who will reinterpret “Black celebration”, famous music track by legendary band Depeche Mode, which is also the title of one of the best albums they made, Epicurean delights, sweet and salted appetizers in black created by Bocca di Dama and Francesca Silveri del Forno di San Feliciano di Foligno(Perugia) and the experience of taste by a renowned Sicilian wine house, Tasca d’ Almerita - a noble tradition being since eight generations and talks about art, craftsmanship, territoriality and improves the sustainability as business way of working and lifestyle - which will present during this circumstance a selection of white wines by the brand Sallier de La Tour, an estate of the namesake aristocratic family, placed in Monreale.
