Faraone Casa d'Aste to auction fine jewellery and watches and to celebrate the centenary of the Gucci Maison with 46 vintage handbags.

On November 30th, in live streaming, the Milanese auction house beats in three rounds alongside 95 pieces of high jewellery and 54 prestigious watches, 56 lots of vintage luxury including 46 Gucci handbags

The designer vintage is having its moment and in the next 4 years it is estimated that the secondhand market will go from a turnover of 36 to 77 billion dollars, therefore with a growth rate eleven times higher than the average for clothing retail.

If from one side, in fact, vintage is experiencing a moment of constant aesthetic appeal in the style of fashion in general, the famous fashion brands are looking at the increasingly growing numbers of this market and everyone seems to agree in betting that a part of the future of fashion is precisely in its past.

This is testified by the new Gucci Vault project that takes the resell concept a step further than the simple secondhand luxury sale, showing new ways to brands that want to enhance their archives by creating a good balance between past, present and future fashion.

A "digital wunderkammer", Vault, which creates a collection from the passing of the years where there is no yesterday or tomorrow and where the totes and items reconditioned, retouched or customized by the brand itself, are transformed into a new category of objects that are vintage and brand new at the same time.

From here the even greater interest of Faraone Casa d’Aste in iconic luxury goods, evidenced by the success of the lots presented in the recent auction on September 30th and by the evident growth in demand.

On November 30th, the auctioneer Vittoria Bianchi, CEO of the Via Montenapoleone 9 auction house, will present a 50s/60s collection of 46 immaculate Gucci designer bags, owned and loved over the years by a single customer which will be auctioned during the closing session completely dedicated to luxury vintage.

These are followed by the inevitable objects signed by Hermes and Cartier and closing three jewels belonging to the famous Genoese photographer, the "journalist of visual", Giuliana Traverso.

In the high jewellery round, 95 lots including two oversized brilliant cut diamonds weighing 7.37 ct and 10.47 ct respectively and a rectangular/octagonal cut D colour diamond weighing 3.59 ct. with CISGEM certificate.

A pair of late 1920s earrings in 18 carat white gold with old cut diamonds for a total weight of approx 10.65 ct., a ring in 18 carat white and yellow gold with an octagonal minor oil Colombian emerald weighing approx. 6, 65 ct., a gold necklace with drop and heart diamonds, rose cut and brilliant cut for a total of about 100 ct. and a pair of octagonal Colombian emeralds, minor oil with a total weight of 2.59 ct.

The space for "art jewellery" is filled with a collection of jewels by Giorgio Facchini, all characterized by geometric designs, among which an 18 ct. yellow gold band bracelet with adularia and chalcedony cabochons interspersed with strings of microbeads, an 18 ct. yellow gold band ring, rubies, sapphire and emerald, an 18 ct. yellow gold brooch with red-orange corals and sapphire and an 18 ct. white and yellow gold band ring. with brilliant cut diamond weighing approximately 1.80 ct.

The round of watches is characterized by 54 lots among which Rolex seems to be the main protagonist for the number of objects proposed, in fact stands out a GMT-Master Gilt Tropical Dial Ref. 1675, year 1966, a Sea-Dweller Ref. 1665, year 1983 and an Oyster Perpetual Turn-O-Graph “Red Triangle” Ref. 6202, year 1953, all with steel case and bracelet.

Under the Rolex brand also a Daytona Ref. 16523 with diamond indexes from 1997, steel and 18 ct. yellow gold case and bracelet is followed by two Patek Philippe Calatrava models and an Ellipse as well as various Vacheron Constantin 40s/50s and other vintage watches.

An auction in live streaming of over 200 lots certainly aimed at three different types of public such as collectors, dealers but also private individuals who will duel during the three rounds, connected on the website, through the dedicated MYFARAONE App, by telephone or through written offers; to purchase one or more masterpieces, even in the form of an investment asset, of watchmaking, high-jewellery and luxury vintage pieces signed by Gucci.
