Dopo il successo della sua prima esposizione, l'artista torna a Roma con un progetto inedito, concepito a partire dal dialogo intimo con il massiccio montuoso del Cerro de la Silla, il gigante geologico che delimita e sovrasta la sua città natale, Monterrey.
Il percorso espositivo sarà guidato e approfondito dal testo di Marina Dacci, che scardina una lettura puramente estetica del lavoro di Anza svelando le molteplici facce di una biologia trasfigurata dal mito e dall'esperienza del corpo.
On Wednesday, September 23rd, Paisaje a la montaña, the second solo exhibition at the gallery by Mexican artist Andrés Anza, will open.
Following the success of his first show, the artist returns to Rome with a brand-new project, conceived from an intimate dialogue with the Cerro de la Silla mountain range, the geological giant that bounds and dominates his hometown of Monterrey.
The exhibition will be accompanied and explored through a text by Marina Dacci, which dismantles a purely aesthetic reading of Anza’s work, revealing the multiple facets of a biology transfigured by myth and the experience of the body.
