Pavillon social ~ Kunstverein (PsK) è lieta di annunciare, a Lucca, sabato 12 marzo dalle ore 17.30, un’azione performativa di Michelangelo Consani.
L’artista è stato invitato a festeggiare con un suo lavoro l’imminente trasloco di PsK dallo spazio provvisorio di via Mordini 64.
Pavillon social, dalla sua fondazione a Lucca nel 2011, è stata concepita come una sorta di Kunstverein migrante.
La project room di via Mordini è stata inaugurata nel novembre 2011 con una mostra dell’artista tedesca Nora Schultz, dedicata a quei migranti lucchesi specializzati nella produzione e vendita ambulante di sculture di gesso (i cosiddetti Figurinai). In seguito, all’ombra della Torre Guinigi, si sono succeduti numerosi artisti d’interesse internazionale (tra i quali Guðrún Benónýsdóttir, Shannon Bool, Derek Maria di Fabio, Judith Raum, Alvaro Urbano e molti altri) lavorando in situ, sulla realtà locale e la storia di Lucca, sviluppando un proprio lavoro come momento d’incontro e reciproca scoperta fra diverse realtà.
Michelangelo Consani, tra i primi artisti in Italia a lavorare sui temi dell’energia, della decrescita, dell’agricoltura naturale, del rimosso storico collettivo, da una prospettiva minoritaria e estremamente personale, è invitato a Lucca per festeggiare l’abbandono dello spazio (in previsione dei nuovi progetti migranti di Pavillon).
Per questa occasione, Pavillon social ha proposto all’artista di lavorare sul tema delle Tasche.
Nella Repubblica Aristocratica di Lucca, dal 1604 fino alla rivoluzione francese, le Tasche erano le elezioni dei supremi magistrati. Il termine tasche deriva dalle borse o appunto dalle tasche in cui si ponevano i nomi degli eletti. In queste occasioni s’invitavano compositori e musicisti lucchesi a comporre tre Tasche: ovvero tre componimenti festivi eseguiti per tre giorni, uno per ogni giornata.
L’azione performativa di Consani si svolgerà dalle 17.30 alle 20.00, a Lucca, in via Antonio Mordini (Ex via Nuova) n°64.

Pavillon social ~ Kunstverein (PsK) is proud to announce the performance by Michelangelo Consani on Saturday 12th of March, in Lucca, from 5:30 p.m..
The artist has been invited to celebrate with one of his works the relocation of PsK from the temporary space in Via Mordini, 64.
Pavillon social has been conceived as a kind of migrating Kunstverein since its foundation in Lucca in 2011.
The project room of via Mordini was inaugurated in November 2011 with an exhibition of German artist Nora Schultz, dedicated to those migrants from Lucca who were specialized in the production and street-trading of plaster sculptures (the so-called Figurinai).
Ever since, under the shadow of the Guinigi Tower, a succession of different artists (such as Guðrún Benónýsdóttir, Shannon Bool, Derek Maria di Fabio, Judith Raum, Alvaro Urbano, and many others) has worked in situ focusing on the local reality and history of Lucca, and developing their own work as a moment for the encounter and mutual discovery of different realities.
Michelangelo Consani is one of the first Italian artists working on the themes of energy, of decrease, of natural agriculture, of forgotten historical moments from the perspective of a minority group and of an extremely sensitive individual. He has been invited in Lucca to celebrate the moving of the original Pavillon space (in anticipation of new Pavillon migrating projects).
For this special occasion, the PsK has proposed to the artist to work on theme of the Tasche.
In the Aristocratic Republic of Lucca, since 1604 until the French Revolution, the Tasche were the elections of the supreme magistrates. The term tasche comes from the bags or precisely the pockets (tasche) from which the names of the elected members were extracted. On these occasions, composers and musicians from Lucca were invited to produce three Tasche, or rather three festive compositions performed for three days, one per each day.
The performance of Consani will take place from 5.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Lucca, Via Antonio Mordini n°64.
