phonetics | art publishing festival 2026
Dopo il successo della prima edizione, phonetics torna a Torino con un festival dedicato all’editoria d’arte indipendente e alle sue espressioni più sperimentali, nato dalla collaborazione tra Axis Axis e Paint It Black. Per tre giorni, un’ex fabbrica di vernici nel quartiere Aurora accoglierà una selezione internazionale di editori, artisti e autori, tra cui Blank Forms, Humboldt Books, Jonathan Monk, Kayfa ta, The Serving Library e Three Star Books. Accanto alla fiera editoriale, un programma di performance, proiezioni e listening session con Riccardo Sinigaglia, Ellen Arkbro e Judith Hamann, P. Staff, Dexter Sinister e Kiosk Radio, per esplorare le relazioni tra parola, immagine e suono.

Hi there,
we’re thrilled to announce the second edition of phonetics, a three-day festival in Turin dedicated to art publishing, performance, and sound. Created through the collaboration of Axis Axis and Paint It Black, the project investigates language in all its formal, aural and symbolic dimensions, both written and spoken.
The programme has grown since last year: this edition will bring together publishers, labels and editorial projects, along with side activations including screenings, readings and two live performances organised in collaboration with Blank Forms and Villa Lontana. Food and beverages will be available on site. After the fair, the space will remain open with music and drinks.
