Plain Gallery is pleased to present the group exhibition “Jung x 5”.
Five young artists based in Germany, with an extraordinary and individual techniques of creating works and synthesizing them.
The title of the show is not accidental. The first designation is quite clear: 5 young “Jung” artists that lives and works in Germany. The second one is more mysterious and symbolic, transferring to teachings of famous psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Carl Gustav Jung about the archetypes.
In Jungian psychology, the archetypes represent universal patterns and images that are part of the collective unconscious. Jung believed that we inherit these archetypes much in the way we inherit instinctive patterns of behavior.
