Contro Il Buio

Nella quasi totale oscurità gli artisti interverranno con opere “site-specific” create per il buio, per interagire con esso per combatterlo o per nascondervicisi.
Fotografia, performance, esecuzioni musicali: una sfida alle tenebre che farà da cornice alla festa per la nascita di SILOS e per la sua presentazione al mondo.

A Venezia, negli storici spazi dell'ex Birreria della Giudecca, è nata una nuova realtà culturale: SILOS.
Il cuore dello straordinario complesso industriale di fine Ottocento, che comprende anche il Mulino Stucky e la Tessitura Fortuny, pulsa ora, grazie all'arte, di nuova vita.
SILOS: quello che era la cantina dove maturava la birra rinasce ora ad altra fermentazione: quella delle idee. Persa, con la chiusura del birrificio, la funzione per cui era stato edificato, rimasto per anni luogo-non luogo, l'antico luogo di maturazione rinasce come incubatore/contenitore di idee e luogo preposto alla loro realizzazione e presentazione.
È una iniziativa promossa dall’amicizia e collaborazione fra Claudia Zuriato, Gerhard Krammer, Giulio Zannier e Filippo Zuriato.
SILOS si propone come ambizioso progetto interdisciplinare volto a coniugare, grazie ad un sinergico gioco di forze, l’arte visiva, la musica contemporanea e l’architettura.
A Venezia, il 3 giugno 2014 alle 19.00, verrà presentata l’associazione culturale SILOS promotrice ed ideatrice della mostra evento : “CONTRO il BUIO”
Cosa accadrebbe se un giorno ci trovassimo senza luce, privi dei nostri riferimenti, delle nostre sicurezze?

Venice, the island of Giudecca: in the historic spaces of the former brewery a new cultural reality is born: SILOS.
The heart of an extraordinary industrial complex in the late 19th century, which also includes the Mulino Stucky and the Fortuny-weaving thanks to the art, now will beat with new life.
SILOS. What was a magazine, where beer matured, now evoke another fermentation: that of ideas. Lost with the closure of the brewery the function for which it was built, was for years the place - not place the ancient site of maturation reborn as an incubator / container of ideas and place them in charge of the creation and presentation.
The artistic board is based on the initiative led by the friendship and cooperation of Claudia Zuriato, Gerhard Krammer, Gulio Zannier and Filippo Zuriato.
SILOS propose an ambitious project that aims to combine in a synergistic interplay of energies visual arts, [contemporary] music and architecture.
On 3rd June 2014 at 7:00 pm at Venice, Giudecca there will be the opening of SILOS. Related to this ceremony there will be created the site-specific ”CONTRO il BUIO” (Behind the darkness).
What would happen one day, if we were without light, without our references, our certainty? In almost total darkness artists will create "site-specific" works, created for darkness, an interaction to fight or to hide.
Performance, music, photography – a total challenge to darkness that will host the celebration for the birth of SILOS and its presentation to the world.
