Il progetto Dancing Before the Moon rappresenta la Gran Bretagna alla Biennale Architettura.

Comunicato stampa

The British Council has commissioned curators Jayden Ali, Joseph Henry, Meneesha Kellay and Sumitra Upham to represent Great Britain at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice. They will present Dancing Before the Moon, an exhibition of new, architectural-scale work by six artists and designers from 20 May to 26 November 2022.

Dancing Before the Moon promotes the idea that everyday rituals - from cooking to playing games - are tools for diasporic communities to establish spaces and present new ways of thinking about architecture and the built environment. The UK-based artists and architects have transformed the pavilion to represent a future for British architecture where social practices are celebrated for binding communities and transforming space. Each installation, by artists interested in materials and making, acknowledges everyday rituals from different global settings.

Press release and images available from 10:00 CEST on 17 May 2023.

Wednesday 17 May 2023 - Press with pre-agreed access are invited to visit the British Pavilion from 10:00 CEST. All interview requests must be made in advance.

There will be an online tour and Q&A at 14:00 CEST on Wednesday 17 May for those press who cannot be in Venice for the event. Please contact the press team if you would like to join this.
