ATTERRAGE Gallery presenta Francesco Gioacchini con una mostra personale in cui l’artista indaga il concetto di annullamento come pratica estetica; Prove di cancellazione, dal 19 Febbraio al 31 Marzo 2026.
Le opere esposte (in gran parte inedite) dimostrano come la negazione del soggetto artistico, la sua formale cancellazione ed eventuale sovrapposizione siano centrali nella riflessione di Gioacchini che, tra il 2023 e il 2026, realizza dipinti di vari formati, lavori su carta e installazioni.
Affinché l’opera possa considerarsi completa, l’artista deve compiere un “gesto estremo”, che inevitabilmente ne anticipa la fine, la distruzione; che si tratti di pittura spray sovrapposta ad una natura morta, di una croce (X) che nega la composizione sottostante, o del frettoloso tratto di un pennarello che cancella la semantica di parole e frasi, Gioacchini consacra l’equilibrio tra fare e disfare, e attribuisce al processo di derealizzazione dell’opera la soluzione alla sua natura provvisoria.

ATTERRAGE è una Galleria d'arte indipendente con sede a Milano (ITA), che sostiene, supporta e rappresenta il lavoro di artisti emergenti.
Nella nautica, il termine Atterrage viene utilizzato quando in mare aperto si avvista un territorio sicuro (tipicamente la costa); ATTERRAGE Gallery si offre quindi come porto protetto per artisti emergenti che navigano l’oceano della produzione e dell’esposizione pubblica dei loro lavori.
La ricerca di ATTERRAGE si concentra principalmente su artisti contemporanei italiani e internazionali, e attribuisce grande valore ai concetti di tradizione e multiculturalità.
La Galleria ha l’obiettivo di promuovere un percorso di crescita dal basso, alimentato dal dialogo, dalla collaborazione e dall’accoglienza.

Francesco Gioacchini (classe 1985) è un artista italiano che vive e lavora a Berlino, attivo nella produzione pittorica, di disegno e di natura installativa.
Gioacchini si laurea nel 2011 in Comunicazione Editoriale presso l'Università di Macerata, dopo aver frequentato l'Università Ramón Llull di Barcellona tra il 2008 e il 2009.
Nel 2014 partecipa alla Summer School in Pittura presso la Slade School of Fine Art di Londra e nel 2016 collabora all'installazione "The Floating Piers" dell'artista Christo, sul Lago d'Iseo.
Nel 2018 consegue la Laurea in Pittura presso l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata, con una tesi dal titolo "Glenn Ligon. Border Thoughts". Successivamente viene selezionato per una residenza a Berlino e, nel 2019 vi si trasferisce.
Gioacchini ha esposto in Italia, Germania e Regno Unito, i suoi lavori sono stati pubblicati su diversi cataloghi, riviste e siti web.
L’artista esplora il rapporto tra pittura e disegno, tra tela e immagine, tra segno e significato, considerando la cancellazione e il concetto di prova e tentativo come importanti pratiche estetiche.
I suoi lavori minimali e concettuali nascono da riferimenti relativi alla storia dell’arte e alla letteratura ma si arricchiscono di riflessioni contemporanee, fatte di contrasti, collisioni e sovrapposizioni di significati e media.

ATTERRAGE Gallery presents Francesco Gioacchini in a solo exhibition delving into the concept of cancellation as an aesthetic practice; Prove di cancellazione, from February 19 to March 31, 2026.
The selected artworks (mostly unpublished) evoke the artist’s reflections around the mechanism of negation of the artistic subject, its formal elimination, and potential overlapping; between 2023 and 2026 Gioacchini produced various paintings, works on paper, and installations to deeply explore this topic.
Each Artwork of the Series comes to an end only when the artist marks it with a "final gesture," a conclusive action which inevitably anticipates its own destruction; it is the case of a still life painting overlapped by the spray, of a structured composition crossed out by a X, of a marker stroke over sentences.
Gioacchini’s work celebrates the balance between making and unmaking, remitting to the artworks derealization the solution to their temporary essence.

ATTERRAGE is an independent art Gallery in Milano (ITA) committed in representing, supporting and curating Emerging Artists.
In nautical contexts, the term Atterrage is used when a safe territory is reached from the open sea; thus, ATTERRAGE Gallery has the ambition to impose itself as the privileged harbour for Emerging Artists, currently navigating the big sea of studio production and aiming for a wider Public engagement.
The Gallery research mainly focuses on International Contemporary Artists, reserving great attention to multiculturality and local traditions.
ATTERRAGE Gallery is determined to encourage the success of its Artists observing a bottom-up approach, rooted in the concepts of intercultural dialog, social integration, community and accessibility.

¬Francesco Gioacchini (b. 1985) is a Berlin-based Italian artist whose research moves between painting, drawing and installation. ¬¬
He graduated in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Editorial Communication at the University of Macerata, after attending the Ramón Llull University in Barcelona between 2008 and 2009.
In 2014 he joined the Summer school in Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, and in 2016 he worked on the installation 'The Floating Piers' by artist Christo, at Lake Iseo.
In 2018 he obtained a Master's Degree in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata, and part of his thesis, with the title 'Glenn Ligon. Border Thoughts’ has been published by Arshake in the Art text series ‘Critical Grounds’.
In 2019, after being selected for a residency, Francesco Gioacchini moved to Berlin, where he now lives and works.
During the years, Francesco Gioacchini has exhibited his works in Italy, Germany and the UK and he has been published in different catalogues, magazines and websites.
His work, through the adoption of a minimal and conceptual painting, along with the exploration of cancellation, attempt and test as an aesthetic approach, deals with the idea of relation between painting and drawing, canvas and image, sign and meaning.
Moving from references related to art history, literature and contemporary aesthetic, Francesco Gioacchini pursues a visual research made of contrasts, collisions and overlapping of meanings and media.
