Comunicato stampa

INTERNO 4 presenta:

Daniel Kemeny
“Il segreto sta nella curva”

Daniel Kemeny (1981) nasce a Pietrapaola, Italia.

Daniel Kemeny vive e lavora fra Berlino, Atene e Magliaso (Svizzera).

Daniel Kemeny (1981) was born in Pietrapaola, Italy.
He studies sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna and than moves to Berlin and continues his studies at Kunsthochschule Berlin Weisensee.
Daniel Kemeny lives between Berlin, Athen and Magliaso (Switzerland).

Daniel Kemeny's artworks are set up as accidental encounters, installations conceived with an ironic
and irreverent look in order to question the status of the artwork and the role of artist and viewer.

For Interno 4, the artist approach is reconfirmed in his choice of focusing the attention on the relation expectation/ response, at the time that a private space is open to the public.
Kemeny set a machine based on the occurrence of an action and its repetition in time.
The installation becomes the tool that helps the artist to investigate the relation external/internal, from a double point of view: urbanistic/architectonical and social/cultural and redefine a space and time that belongs to art rather as much as the ordinary.

In "Il segreto sta nella curva", the artist points out on the substantial nature of the artwork, as
resultant between its own material time and the time circumscribed by the public. As consequence,
it's highlighted the disproportion between a wide and dilated temporal space and the actual happening of the artwork's event.
