Code South Way è un magazine nato a Bruxelles. Dopo 5 anni si è spostato a Parigi e infine su iniziativa delle due curatrici e critiche Charlotte Cosson et Emmanuelle Luciani si è stabilito a Marsiglia.

Il progetto prevede l’allontanamento, “l’uscita” dalle megalopoli a favore di una pratica che agisca a partire dalle periferie.

Il magazine è distribuito gratuitamente in gallerie e spazi d’arte in Francia, Inghilterra, Svizzera, Belgio e presto anche in Italia. Offre testi critici di numerosi collaboratori, una sezione dedicata agli studio visits e interventi ad opera degli artisti.

metodologia e visione curatoriale attenta alle ripercussioni sociali oltre che estetiche.

Sonia D’Alto è storica e critica dell’arte. Curatrice, scrive per diverse testate. Editor associata di un magazine indipendente francese, si occupa di una residenza a Marsiglia che accoglie artisti italiani e inglesi. È interessata alle tendenze Post-Internet, al New Materialism, alla Performance, all’immagine filmica e allo storytelling espositivo.

Emmanuelle Luciani, laureata in storia dell’arte e legge, è curatrice e storica dell’arte. Recentemente ha curato con Charlotte Cosson COOL – As a State of Mind at MAMO (Marsiglia) e From Transhuman to South Perspectives at Rowing (Londra). Emmanuelle Luciani & Charlotte Cosson sono editors-in-chief del magazine CODE South Way, rivolto all’arte emergente.

Fabio Cirillo è uno scultore, poeta e attivista. Ha ottenuto il Master of Fine Art presso la HFBK di Amburgo. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto alla Kunsthaus di Amburgo, MOM art space di Amburgo, Tanz Fabrik di Berlino. Nel 2017 ha ricevuto il Deutschland Stipendium. Attualmente è un artista in residenza presso la Fondazione Kaya Napoli, dove conduce insieme ad Astrid Kajsa Nylander "Gathering Empathy" una struttura per ospitare la produzione artistica femminista e di ricerca sulla performatività del genere

FLIP Project Space è un artist-run space (Napoli), un progetto curatoriale indipendente, una piattaforma di discussioni e collaborazioni creative in relazione alla pratica artistica ed alla cultura contemporanea.
Le attività di FLIP Project si manifestano attraverso una molteplicità’ di situazioni ‘spaziali’ dove la discussione avviene sotto forma di mostre, pubblicazioni (web, digitali e cartacee), workshops, screenings, seminari.

Code South Way is a magazine which began life in Brussels. After five years it moved to Paris and finally settled in Marseille on the initiative of its two curators and critics, Charlotte Cosson and Emmanuelle Luciani

The project focuses on the concept of “moving away”, the "exit" from the megalopolis in favor of art practices stemming from the suburbs.

The magazine is free and distributed in galleries and art spaces in France, England, Switzerland, Belgium and soon in Italy. It offers critical texts by numerous collaborators, a section dedicated to the studio visits and interventions by the artists.

Emmanuelle Luciani (Editor in chief) and Sonia D'Alto (Associate editor) in conversation with
Federico Del Vecchio, will present the magazine and the residency associated with it. They will
discuss the selection of artists, their activity at art fairs and European institutions, and their curatorial methodology, vision and attention to social repercussions outside of aesthetic concerns.

Sonia D'Alto is an art historian, critic and curator, who writes for various magazines. She is an associated editor of Code South Way, an independent French magazine and also manages a residency programme in Marseille that welcomes Italian and English artists. She is interested in Post-Internet trends, New Materialism, performance, filmic imagery and exhibition storytelling.

Emmanuelle Luciani, is a curator, art historian and law and art history graduate. She has recently curated exhibitions with Charlotte Cosson entitled COOL - As a State of Mind at MAMO (Marseille) and From Transhuman to South Perspectives at Rowing (London). Emmanuelle Luciani and Charlotte Cosson are editors-in-chief of the Code South Way magazine which is aimed at emerging art.

Fabio Cirillo is a sculptor, a poet and activist. He obtained the Master of Fine Art at the HFBK Hamburg. His work has been shown at Kunsthaus Hamburg, MoM Art Space Hamburg and Tanzfabrik Berlin. In 2017 he received the Deutschland Stipendium. Currently he is an artist-in-residence at the Fondazione Kaya Napoli, where he is conducting together with Astrid Kajsa Nylander “gathering empathy”, the hosting structure for a feminist and queer art production and research on gender performativity.

FLIP Project Space is an artist-run space in Napoli. It is an independent curatorial project, a platform for discussions devoted to developing models of collaboration that expand on interests in contemporary culture and artistic practice.
FLIP is motivated by continuous changes in location and spontaneous occurrences that extend from the local to address the current milieu.
FLIP presents within a multiplicity of spatial situations where discussions take shape as exhibitions, publications or digital fragments.
