Il minimalismo di Label2 incontra l’arte di Ted Barr

In occasione della Settimana della Moda Donna 2015, siamo lieti di invitarVi alla presentazione di “Emerging from the White”, la nostra ultima Capsule Collection ispirata da Ted Barr e realizzata da Label2, Andrea Popovic and Alen Pinku.
Dopo il successo internazionale della scorsa collezione, Label2 presenta “Emerging from the white” Domenica 1 Marzo presso Corso Como 9, Milano.
“Emerging from the white” Capsule Collection, frutto dell’incontro creativo tra Fashion Design e Arte, nasce dalla volontà di supportare l’innovazione e il talento emergenti, e dal desiderio di contaminare la Moda con le pratiche artistiche contemporanee. La nuova collezione di Label2, rigorosamente in neoprene e organza di seta, è testimonianza della versalità del giovane brand, che ha saputo confrontarsi e ibridarsi con l’Arte, creando capi dalla forte personalità in grado di ridisegnare l’identità femminile e maschile contemporanea. Arte e Moda si fondono e dialogano all’interno di “Emerging from the white”, dove le creazioni di Label2 diventano tele bianche sulle quali l’immaginario di Ted Barr prende forma.
In “Emerging from the white” Ted Barr e Label2 danno forma alle forze elementari che generano l’universo attraverso capi, non solo da indossare, ma da vivere e abitare. Le strutture che ne conseguono sono immagini, archetipi, rimandi alle forme simboliche che risiedono nel nostro inconscio collettivo. Il bianco, colore della creazione, della luce, della purezza, rappresenta nella collezione il serbatorio di tutte le possibilità dell’esistenza; esso contiene tutte le forme latenti che precedono la creazione, racchiude gli attimi precedenti alla nascita di qualsiasi cosa, il momento stesso che anticipa la genesi. Il bianco racchiude in sé i silenzi, i vuoti, gli interrogativi che riecheggiano dentro di noi e che esplodono diventando materia, trasformandosi in colore e forma.
“Emerging from the white” è un evento unico per apprezzare le ultime creazioni di Label2 nella speciale Live Performance che ne interpreta lo spirito intraprendente, poliedrico e multidisciplinare. Non un Fashion Show tradizionale, quindi, ma la possibilità di vivere un’esperienza di immersione totale nell’immaginario della collezione.
Per l’occasione l’artista poliedrico Sergio Racanati alias Kinki Von Berlinki, si esibirà nel Live Set realizzato per celebrare la nostra Capsule Collection affiancato da Clouds Round The Moon // Teque-nique netlabel, producer emergente della scena underground milanese.

Ted Barr è un artista e curatore, vive e lavora a Tel Aviv. L’amore per l’osservazione del cielo e l’ interesse riposto nelle similitudini tra elementi celesti e umani, ha caratterizzato la sua arte fin dal principio. Dipingendo le galassie, le stelle, le supernove e le formazioni embrionali umane, Ted esplora le connessioni più profonde che legano l’energia della creazione alla sua pratica artistica. Attraverso la pittura, Ted si interroga sul mistero della creazione che traduce attraverso il proprio linguaggio visivo, nel tentativo di connettere il visibile all’invisibile.

Label2 è un brand giovane composto da due menti creative, Alen Pinku and Andrea Popovic, che si incontrano e lavorano a Milano.
Il loro tratto distintivo è l’utilizzo di forme definite, tagli unici, minimalismo intrinseco e forte personalità, garantiti dall’uso sapiente di un materiale originale e innovativo presente in tutte le loro collezioni: il neoprene. Sergio Racanati, alias Kinki Von Berlinki, di ritorno dalla sua ultima performance e sounds installation presso PMGallery Zagabria, presenta a Milano il set inedito WHITE TRACK. Tra albe post industriali e ricercati glitch, una poetica sonora del devasto, dell’assurdo, che affida all’uomo la possibilità ultima di un riscatto.

Mattia Volpe, alias CLOUDS ROUND THE MOON è un musicista, producer e sound designer. Inizia nel 2012 il progetto CloudsRoundTheMoon, mixando influenze musicali eterogenee allo scopo di promuovere approcci differenti alla Musica Dance Elettronica.

The minimalism of Label2 meets Ted Barr’s Art

On the occasion of Fashion Week Woman 2015, we are pleased to invite you to the presentation of “Emerging from the White”, our latest Capsule Collection inspired by Ted Barr and designed by Label2, Andrea Popovic and Alen Pinku.
After the international success of the last collection, Label2 presents "Emerging from the White" Sunday, March 1 at 9 Corso Como, Milan.
"Emerging from the White" Capsule Collection is a result of the meeting between Creative Fashion Design and Art and was born from the desire to support innovation and emerging talent, and the desire to meld fashion with contemporary artistic practices. The new collection by Label2, strictly in neoprene and silk organza, is a testament to the versatility of the young brand, which has been able to meet and hybridize with art, creating items with a strong personality able to redesign the female and masculine contemporary identity.
Art and Fashion come together and interact within '"Emerging from the White", where the creations of Label2 become blank canvases and where the imaginary of Ted Barr takes shape.
In "Emerging from the White" Ted Barr and Label2 shape the elemental forces that generate the universe through items, not only to wear, but to be lived. The resulting structures are images, archetypes and references to symbolic forms that reside in our collective unconscious. The white in the collection is the color of creation, light and purity. It is the cistern of all the possibilities of existence; it contains all the latent forms that preceded the creation, encompasses the moments prior to the birth of anything, the very moment that anticipates the genesis. The white embodies the silences, the gaps, the questions that resonate within us and the exploding becoming matter, turning into color and form.
"Emerging from the White" is a unique event to appreciate the latest creations of Label2 inside a special Live Performance that interprets the enterprising, multifaceted and multidisciplinary spirit of the collection. Not a traditional fashion show, but rather the chance to live an experience of total immersion in the imagination of the collection.
For the occasion, the versatile artist Sergio Racanati alias Kinki Von Berlinki, will perform a Live Set created to celebrate our Capsule Collection flanked by Clouds Round The Moon // Teque-nique netlabel, producer emerging from the underground scene in Milan.

Ted Barr is an artist and curator, lives and works in Tel Aviv. The love for the observation of the sky and the interest placed in the similarities between heavenly and human elements, has characterized his art from the beginning. Portraying the galaxies, stars, supernovas and human embryonic formations Ted explores the deeper connections that bind the energy of creation to his artistic practice. Through painting, Ted ponders the mystery of creation that translates through its visual language, in an effort to connect the visible to the invisible.

Label2 is a young brand consisting of two creative minds, Alen Pinku and Andrea Popovic, who meet and work in Milan. Sergio Racanati, alias Kinki Von Berlinki, returning from his last performance and sound installation at PMGallery, Zagabria, presents in Milan his latest set WHITE TRACK. Among post industrial sunrises and sought glitch, a poetic sound of the devastation, of the absurd, that entrusts to man the last chance for redemption.

Mattia Volpe, alias CLOUDS ROUND THE MOON is a musician, producer and sound designer from Milan. In 2012 he started the CloudsRoundTheMoon Project, mixing different musical influences with the aim of promoting different approaches to electronic dance music.
