Una nuova importante mostra a cura di Giorgio Bedoni inaugura il 28 Novembre 2015 al Castello di Casale Monferrato, dedicata questa volta agli Artisti Outsider raccolti dagli anni ’70 ad oggi, in Italia, Francia, Germania, Austria, Inghilterra, Serbia e Mon- tenegro nella importante Collezione Fabio e Leo Cei, collezione che conta più di 130 opere d’arte fra sculture e pitture e che sarà aperta al pubblico, con ingresso gratuito, fino al 4 Aprile 2016, al secondo piano del Castello del Monferrato, cuore della città e del territorio.

Un viaggio nella dimensione espressiva ed estetica di eccezione, che mostra senza filtri quei fattori psichici naturali che sono alla base della creazione artistica e ne rivelano l’essenza originaria. Un tipo di espressione artistica che ha avuto la sua prima classificazione e ricono- scimento grazie all’impegno di Jean Dubuffet, famoso artista francese della prima metà del Novecento, il quale ha trovato e codificato la prima definizione di questa forma d’arte af- francata dalla “asphyxiante culture”: Art Brut. Non solo esposizione ma anche momento di riflessione profonda sui confini dell’arte, sull’es- senza della creatività e sulla ambigua e complessa relazione tra l’essere umano e la sua opera. Un evento interdisciplinare che unisce pittura, ogget- ti, musica e poesia e indaga il rapporto tra libertà, sofferenza psichica ed espressione artistica. Preludio alla mostra la giornata di sabato 28 Novembre, quando, nella splendida cornice del Teatro Municipale, si terranno due momenti di assoluto coinvolgimento: il convegno aperto di approfondimento sull’Outsider Art, che vedrà coinvolti i massimi esperti italiani ed europei sul tema, e il concerto dell’Orchestra Invisibile, a cui parteciperà anche il grande batterista Ellade Bandini per omaggiare il decennale di attività dell’orchestra di Cascina Rossago (Ponte Nizza in provincia di Pavia) prima farm community italiana per le esigenze esistenziali ed espressive di persone con autismo.

A new important exhibition curated by Giorgio Bedoni and inaugurated on 28 November 2015 at Il Castello, this time dedicated to a collection of works by Outsider Artists from Italy, France, Ger- many, Austria, Great Britain, Serbia and Monte- negro from the 1970s to the present. These works belong to the prestigious Fabio and Leo Cei Col- lection, one comprising more than 130 works of art ranging from sculptures to paintings; the display will be open to the public (with free admission) un- til 4 April 2016, on the second floor of the Monfer- rato Castle – heart of the city and of the entire area.

It is a journey into an exceptional expressive and aesthetic dimension, one that does not use filters in showing those natural psychological factors that are at the basis of artistic creation and reveal its original essence. A sort of artistic expression that was first classified and recognized thanks to the commitment of Jean Dubuffet, a famous French artist during the early 1900s, who discovered and codified the first definition of this art form that re- mained apart from “asphyxiante culture”: Art Brut. Not simply an exhibition, but also an opportunity for some profound reflections concerning the boundaries of art, the essence of creativity, the am- biguous and complicated relationship between the human being and his works. An interdisciplinary event that combines painting, objects, music, poe- try and investigates the relationship between free- dom, psychological distress and artistic expression. A prelude to the exhibition will be staged on Saturday, 28 November, in the splendid setting of the Teatro Municipale with two events of absolute involvement: an open conference on the subject of Outsider Art, with the participation of the most prominent Italian and European experts on the subject; and a concert by the Orchestra Invisibile, with the participation of the great drummer Ellade Bandini as a tribute to the tenth anniversary of the orchestra from Cascina Rossago (Ponte Nizza, in the province of Pavia) – the first Italian farm community for the existential and expressive needs of people with autism.
